There is no better doctor than a puppy happily licking your face.
So, do you have a small puppy or already a large breed adult dog weighing 40 kg or more? Let's discuss what points require special attention when choosing food for such pets.

Pay attention to the following:

▸ Protein Source
The food should contain meat as the main source of protein, which should be one of the first ingredients listed. This ensures high product quality (poor quality food often contains meat meal or by-products instead of meat).
Large dog breeds are usually very active, so they require a diet with high protein content (for example, more than 35%) and fat (more than 20%).

▸ Grains
Many dogs suffer from allergies to grains, especially wheat and corn (they are difficult to digest). It is better to choose food with a small amount of grains, located closer to the end of the ingredient list.

▸ Pellets
It is preferable to choose pellets that the dog can chew, rather than just swallow. For large breeds, the most suitable pellet size is about 2 cm in diameter, which also helps to clean teeth. However, if your pet prefers smaller pellets and feels great, there is no need to change the food.

▸ Additives and Preservatives
Be attentive to the presence of dyes, preservatives, and flavorings. If a dog eats food greedily, it does not always mean that it really likes it. It may be related to additives that are not always beneficial to your dog's health.

When choosing food, pay attention to the breed's characteristics, and prioritize age, activity level, and the fluffy one's individual preferences.
